The session welcomed eager new participants, all excited to begin crafting their very own handmade whale plushies. This marked the first step in a fun, hands-on journey into the world of soft toy creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To start, instructors introduced the basic tools and materials needed for the class. These included fabric, printed patterns, fabric pens (also called magic pens), sewing scissors, thread, and needles. Students organized their materials on their workstations, ready to jump into their first creative task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, they traced the whale plushie pattern onto the fabric using the fabric pen. This step required careful attention to detail, as every line would define the shape of the finished toy. With guidance from instructors, each participant confidently marked the fabric outlines, making sure they followed the curves and lines of the whale\u2019s body and fins precisely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the marking was complete, they quickly transitioned to the next stage\u2014cutting. Using sharp sewing scissors, the students carefully cut along the lines they had drawn. This process demanded patience and accuracy, as neat cuts ensured a smoother sewing experience later on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With all the pieces now prepared, the class moved on to the most exciting part\u2014sewing. Following the outline of the whale, students began stitching the cut pieces together. Slowly but surely, the flat pieces of fabric started taking shape. As they sewed along the edges, the body of the whale began to form, giving everyone a sense of accomplishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By the end of the session, participants had completed the foundational steps: from tracing and cutting to stitching the fabric into a basic whale shape. This hands-on experience not only introduced essential sewing techniques but also sparked creativity and joy.
