On 19 March 2025, Miss Aliz registered for and attended the Kebaya Kelepet sewing class held at RuangKREASI, located at D'Sara Sentral, Sungai Buloh. This intensive one-day workshop was conducted by Teacher Mai, an experienced instructor renowned for her expertise in traditional garment construction. With several sewing classes already under her belt, Miss Aliz brought a solid foundation in sewing skills, which allowed her to grasp each step in the Kebaya Kelepet-making process with ease and confidence. The session began with a detailed explanation from Teacher Mai regarding the structure and style of the Kebaya Kelepet pattern. Under her guidance and close supervision, Miss Aliz proceeded to draft the pattern, ensuring each line and measurement adhered precisely to the techniques taught. What made this session even more special was the use of the innovative D’Athirah Magic Ruler 03 (DMR03) — a tool that simplifies and enhances accuracy in drafting traditional patterns. After completing the paper pattern, Miss Aliz continued by carefully cutting it out and transferring the design onto fabric in preparation for sewing. With the help of Teacher Mai and her unique sewing techniques, Miss Aliz successfully completed her very own Kebaya Kelepet, adding another remarkable piece to her growing portfolio of handmade garments.
