Activity Details :
The second day for the basic class of sewing whale plushie soft toys on May 8, 2024. On that day, the class continued by inserting fiber into the whale's body and fins. Then make a stitch to cover the hole used to insert the fiber. In this whale, 5 stitches are used, one on the hole of the whale's body, two on the whale's fin, and two to attach the fin to the whale's body. After finishing sewing the stitching, plastic eyes are attached to the whale's head as eyes. Day Two: Whale Plushie Soft Toy Basic Sewing Class – May 8, 2024 On May 8, 2024, the second day of our Basic Sewing Class for Whale Plushie Soft Toys brought participants deeper into the plush-making process. Following the foundational work completed on day one, the class resumed with a hands-on session focused on giving the whale its soft and cuddly form. To begin, students eagerly moved on to the fiber-stuffing stage. They carefully inserted soft polyester fiber into the body and fins of the whale, shaping the plushie with gentle precision. This step was essential in giving the toy its full, rounded shape and plush feel. Once the fiber was securely in place, participants learned how to close the openings with neat, secure stitches. The class used five specific stitching points to complete this stage. One stitch was made to close the fiber insertion hole on the whale's main body. Two stitches were applied to seal the openings in both fins. The remaining two stitches were then used to firmly attach the fins to the sides of the whale's body. Through this step-by-step guidance, students not only practiced basic stitching techniques but also gained confidence in handling soft materials and shaping components. After completing all stitching, the class shifted focus to the finishing touches. Each participant added plastic safety eyes to the whale’s head, giving the plushie a charming and lively personality. This simple yet impactful detail brought the toy to life and gave students a sense of satisfaction as they saw their creations begin to resemble real soft toys. Overall, the second day of class was filled with excitement, learning, and growing confidence. By mastering fundamental stitching techniques and assembling the whale's main features, students moved one step closer to completing their adorable handmade plush toys. The hands-on approach and supportive guidance made the experience enjoyable, productive, and deeply rewarding.
