On the second day, Ian embarked on the exciting process of assembling and sewing his blouse. With guidance from Teacher Mai, he carefully stitched the fabric pieces together using the sewing machine, applying the techniques he learned the day before. He also practiced overlocking (serging) to neatly finish the raw edges and enhance the overall presentation of the blouse. To refine the final look, Ian incorporated hand-sewing techniques, using cross-stitch (silang pangkah) for the finishing touches. This decorative and functional stitch helped secure certain parts of the blouse while adding a subtle handmade charm to the piece. By the end of the workshop, Ian proudly completed his very first custom blouse — a result of both machine precision and hand-crafted detail — and left with a strong foundation to continue his sewing journey.
